The summer season is always a high point for outdoor events and activities. Along with local fairs and festivals, many states and counties run their own annual "State Fair". A growing trend over the last decade is the music festival. These festivals bring multiple musical groups to a single event site usually over a several day period. Most of these festivals have a need for temporary tent structures and other event rental related items. We've selected three of the many popular summer music events to highlight:

Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival
Three days, five stages, 190 bands, and 75,000 fans equals one amazing weekend of music, art, food, and fun! That weekend is known as the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, an annual event held at the Empire Polo Fields in Indio, California. This was the 12th year that the festival was held and it sold out in record time. The event features many different music genres including indie, electronic, alt rock, and hip hop. The festival grounds contain five music stages, interactive tents, food courts, and larger than life sculptural art. One of the largest draws of the music festival is the tents. They have anything from a 20x20 Concession Tent to the featured “Sahara” tent that measured 150’x 285’. The event will take place again next year spanning over two weekends, April 13-15 and April 20-22, 2012. For more information on the festival you can visit their comprehensive website at http://www.coachella.com/

Lollapalooza 2011
Lollapalooza is a three day festival of live music held at Grant Park in Chicago, Ill. Grant Park is also known as Chicago’s “front yard,” it provides the festival with over 115 acres to place its multiple stages. The artist line-up varies from hip-hop to electronic and reggae music, indie and rock music. The 2011 festival had around 140 performers. Lollapalooza has been in existence since 1991, and has expanded its attendance to close to 85,000 people per day during the festival. Grant Park is located in the heart of downtown Chicago, so there is no camping at this festival. Although the website does provides a thorough list of contact information for hostels and hotels close to the music park. Alongside the music, festival sponsors set up havens throughout the park to help keep fans hydrated, educated and satisfied. Some sponsors include: Adidas, Sony, Google, CITI, Toyota, and Red Bull. More information can be found at the festivals website. www.lollapalooza.com
